As for a more conventional brand, Kong toys aren't recyclable but they do last FOREVER, even with my destructive bastards, so it's one toy lasting as long as 10-20 weaker ones.
TBH, in terms of sustainability, you're best off just giving Spatula a branch to gnaw on.

If Spatula wants to sit and chew, you might be looking less at a toy and more at a sustainably-sourced treat that takes a long time to eat, like a beef knuckle or block of ice. If they like to tug, things you were going to throw out anyway, like braiding clothes that have fallen apart into a rope2/?

It kinda depends on how Spatula likes to play because that dictates what type of toy you need, and from there we look at materials.
The most sustainable and fave toy of the lads is cardboard boxes, because they're hardcore destroyers with soft mouths. (Continued)
