Oh, no, I got up to the chain section and had to continue my hike in the opposite direction because it was closed off due to Covid. Honestly, with how many people die on it, I'm not sad it was closed. And the opposite-side trail at the top gave me some great views.

I hate coffee, and refuse to develop a taste for it. This is my combo-of-choice. My addiction to caffeine is only surpassed by my addiction to chapstick.

It was 11pm, and I was bored, so I posted on my socials, "If we leave RIGHT NOW, we can catch the sun rise at the Grand Canyon. Who's down?" One friend was.

(This was definitely brought on by a trip to the hot springs with my bff. We went to the mud bath, but she, a lady with richly-colored skin, couldn't tell where she had already placed the rapidly-drying mud. It was then that creation myths of man made from earth made sense to me.)

Once I brought edibles to Zion National Park (don't tell Utah) and while hiking Angel's Landing, I felt the river through the canyon as a Stream of Life, eroding the earth around it to fall in and birth humans. I felt I could see the local people's history written in the colors of the canyon.

Update on Angry Blind Kitty who hated me: she has succumbed to my relentless campaign of making a steady stream of noise so she always knows where I am, and that I'm not sneaking up on her.

I have gained her trust, and she is making up for lost time on pets.

I'm babysitting an angry, blind kitty who hates me (for now). She's currently SO MAD she can't come in here while I'm going pee. She's lying on the other side of the door, growling and trying to fight me.

She's perfect, I love her 😂
