I thought I was safe on the train to Aarhus now. But due to reasons I did not understand, the train has now terminated in Fredericia.

So my new train got me to Kolding faster than the original one, but the original one has now caught up to me while I'm still waiting for the next train to Aarhus.

The train had now been stuck in Padborg due to "technical issues" for an hour. I originally had 57 minutes to switch trains in Kolding. It's not looking great.

In Padborg they switch out the DB crew with a DSB crew while the Danish police is aggressively trampling over the Schengen agreement. Apparently the departing crew forgot to properly set the brakes? The entire train started rolling backwards and a passenger had to pull the emergency brake. 🫣

Beautiful, it "works" now. Except that the train is apparently composed of 100% first class coaches and consists of coaches 1 through 15. My seat reservation is in second class in coach 18. 🤔

So far the train appears to be suspiciously "on time"¹. But that's usually how they get you.
