I post about maps, GIS, and environmental chemistry, and now there’s also a lot of energy and Portland posts, some microblogging. Coauthor on a paper on bird population modeling. Reviews everywhere: "She's too direct."

Or you were gay and you had to hide it or you'd be killed or you were married to a man who would beat and kill your or someone else in the family would or you had to hide an abortion or ....
I get confused about the 90s nostalgia because even though it was pre 9/11, a lot of bad stuff!

Everywhere I look, something reminds me of her.

This has been my frustration with convincing people to get the flu shot *for years* now. Every article about flu was a photo of a shot in an arm, not people dying from it, not someone looking awful while sick with it. It made it hard to convince people to get the vaccine.

This is it. With Trump, whichever answer is the stupidest and most simple is it.

He used to live for those rallies during his first term. Yeah, the fact that he's not even doing those is the big tell he's not even checking in.

At this point I would pay money to be able to block that photo of her in the leopard print onesy doing duck lips for the camera.

Have you been to Durango, CO? There are places like that, especially along the river.

I'm serious, he should do what I put in this post and the one above it. bsky.app/profile/csha...

The "leopard eating faces" line was around back in 2017, and it was literally about him. I don't think there was anything more we could have done to better warn people in 2024.
It's like Dwight Schrute said in The Office "Not everything is a lesson, Ryan. Sometimes you just fail."

I used to live in a house built in 1908 and an apartment built in 1949. I thought it was an old building issue. I moved into a place built in 1995, thought it would be better. Nope! The previous residents left a whole bunch of ant traps behind and I've already used some of them.

I think this is an issue up the whole West Coast because I live in Oregon and I have already accepted that I will never win against the sugar ants. Living on the second floor? Never bring food into your bathroom? Doesn't matter, they will find you and move in. You can only temporary manage them.

Sure, the gym was closed and all my plans were canceled. But I also got to WFH 100% of the time so no more time and cost from commuting. A lot of free time for art and money for art supplies.

Yeah, not instead but rather *in addition* to our federal holidays.
