Local Friends! The Story Forge writing group is holding a Book Fair on Saturday, November 22th at the Northern Yacht Club in North Sydney. There will be book launches, autographs, and readings. I'm not involved in the event, but I know some the authors who are, so I hope you'll stop in and see them.

Thanks very much for the info. I've been thinking a lot about Janet Horne's murder and its relationship to changeling/devil folklore in the context of disability and dementia. I wanted to see where she died and find out if I could learn more about her at a local museum or archive.

I was incredibly fortunate to hear Jane Goodall speak in Halifax a couple of years ago. She was and remains a personal hero, and I am so, so sad to see her go. Hail the traveller. May we walk on the paths she created.

Well, that was complicated, but my travel itinerary to Brighton for the World Fantasy Convention and then on to Scotland for a week of hill-walking through Neolithic landscapes and paying my respects at the monuments of women murdered for witchcraft is all settled. Looking forward to this so much.
