The Centre for the Study of Religion was established in 2022 at the University of Galway. It aims to support interdisciplinary scholarship in this subject area within the University and to promote public engagement in Ireland and abroad.

The "New York Times" is apparently launching a new religion reporting project. Because some people evidently understand that we cannot comprehend the present moment without studying religion, even if too many of our colleges and universities right now seem to think we can do without it.

It would be super to see greater investment in the research talent already in the country & the pipeline of researchers that the country has already invested in, from BA to PhD. Our higher education system is seriously underfunded, w a well-reported reliance on precarious jobs for key functioning
