Please watch this interview folks. Stephen Miller says that trump has “plenary authority”. He then immediately stops talking b/c he realizes what he did. Plenary authority gives absolute power with no review or limitations to a person. He said the quiet part out loud.

North Carolina is working to make it so people don’t have to have a concealed carry permit for guns. The law has been passed by both the state congress and senate, only the governor has vetoed it.

Also, a reminder our state has been gerrymandered in favor of the gop.

I’m not a fan of the beach because I’m not a fan of sand, it just gets everywhere. At least the spiders are pest control, sand is just so damn messy and uncomfortable.

In my city, large ones, due to the amount of veterans that live here and the surrounding areas. I don’t know about others, but if I’m representing such a large group I’d put in the effort to know how systems for that group work.

Btw the contradicting answers were in regard to the VA and knowledge of how it works. One answer he claims to basically understand how the VA healthcare system works, then in another he shows that he clearly has no idea. My district has a LOT of veterans. There are two VA hospitals/medical centers-

2. He told his republican colleagues to stop having in-person town halls. He told them to have them virtually (ie via telephone or Facebook live).

I attended a town hall via phone with him. He took about 5 questions, gave canned a/o contradicting answers, & ended it after approximately 50 minutes

In case anyone wants to know how frustrating it is to have him as a Representative let me share just two things.

1. He literally asked if TikTok could access your WiFi during the congressional hearings with TikTok CEO Shou Chew. Embarrassingly stupid…

His subject line also shows that he isn’t interested in working with Democrats. He’d rather blame them (and anyone else probably) instead of working to achieve what the people want/need. Contacting him is an exercise in frustration because he doesn’t care, like truly does not.

Because the U.S. Senate could not reach 60 votes to pass a continuing resolution (CR), the federal government shut down at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

On September 19, the House of Representatives passed a clean, short-term funding bill to keep the government open at Fiscal Year 2025 levels through November 21, 2025. This measure would have avoided a shutdown and given Congress more time to complete the full-year FY 2026 appropriations process.

Unfortunately, that proposal was blocked in the Senate. Instead, Senate leaders advanced an alternative funding package that included unrelated provisions. Reports from the House Appropriations Committee Majority indicate the Senate proposal could:

• Repeal reforms that prevent taxpayer-funded health benefits from going to individuals here unlawfully
• Expand federal spending on global climate initiatives overseas
• Add up to $1.5 trillion in new costs to American taxpayers over the next decade

Yeah, we all know that, but I meant as in political dissidents, figures that others might more easily notice if they disappear. I am in no way minimizing the disappearance of immigrants when I say that btw. Unfortunately not enough people care that immigrants are being disappeared, it’s gross af.

Also, it’s nice to see at least one gestapo lose his job for inhumane treatment, but that’s a drop in the ocean. Their budget is insane and they’ve been given the go to racially profile. I wonder if they murk someone in broad daylight on camera if people will finally get enraged enough…

Would be getting arrested and prosecuted. These gop with their blatant and easily proved wrong lies would be held accountable, but they’re not because those that can uphold the system are not doing it. We are being failed daily. I’m worried upcoming elections aren’t going to be enough.
