This #NationalTreeWeek, we want to highlight how useful fallen leaves are for both our wildlife and our gardening needs. 🍂

They're used by hibernating wildlife like hedgehogs, form warmer micro-climates that protect garden plants and invertebrates and even create cosy beds for our staff! 😉

It's the perfect time of year for short-eared owl sightings across #Cumbria 🦉

This is one of our more unusual species of owl, as they prefer swooping low over grassland areas during daylight hours in the search for small animals 🌤️
