the weirdest thing about this photo to me is that I see a photo of my shoes with rectangular objects in front of it and IMMEDIATELY think it's a pedalboard shot from stage. Like, it takes extra brain work for me to recognize I'm photographing her photos even though I'm the one that took this photo

I have a constant and prolific amount of photography (and a little bit of writing) that I’d like to share with my friends + a limited audience, but no effective way of doing it. /cont

I just want to be able to have a subscribers-only newsletter + page, and every single platform seems to have issues that are dealbreakers for me (they platform nazis, they platform transphobes, they use AI, they put users’ content into their AI, etc)

Man, really sad news for the team at Heart Machine going through layoffs again.
I really enjoyed my time with Hyper Light Breaker and I'm sad it'll be over but that pales in comparison to everyone losing their jobs.

Like, even if I discount how many close friends I made through twitter, almost all of my musical career highlights happened as a result of being Too Online™ in the early 2010s. Playing major festivals, compilation/soundtrack placements, tour opportunities, album fundraising - all came through online

this was called Cohost—not enough people used it or spent money on it relative to the amount of money it cost to (1) pay its 4 employees a living wage for their labor; and (2) keep the site running, so it died, nothing like it has taken its place at the scale it existed, and now we're here
