It's truly amazing how bad it is. I'm 57,600 words into writing this book, and it's highlighted dozens of "errors," and it has been wrong easily five times as often as it's been right. That's probably being generous.

What I meant by "it works" is more that right now it keeps Fortnite in the news, and it maybe makes players feel like the game is alive. So it works in that sense, but not really in the sense of actually providing value to anyone but Epic

I don't think it works, no. At least, not for films like this. I don't think the average Fortnite players gives much of a shit about a sprawling PTA epic about resistance movements.

I genuinely suspect there is a time in the not-distant future where Fortnite just stops being relevant, and it happens really quickly. And I think it's stuff like this that will drive that. It's going to work until suddenly it doesn't.
