Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

This is why I write. Why would anyone want to let ChatGPT come up with this kind of simile for them? 😅

Introduce yourself with five concerts you've seen

U2 - 1st
QOTSA - Latest
Our Lady Peace - Tie: Most Seen (5)
Silversun Pickups - Tie: Most Seen (5)
The Decemberists - Best

Introduce yourself with five concerts you've seen (the less hip version):

Yes
Deep Purple
The Vibrators
The Knack
Depeche Mode
Introduce yourself with five concerts you've seen;

Had a dream that I helped @drewmagary.bsky.social build a guitar (?!), and then we recorded a live version of Song for the Dead by QOTSA with two other musicians. So ... yeah. 🤘

I'm not going back to the states for Thanksgiving but I wish I was.

I guarantee, by the way, that this channel would reach 1,000 subscribers MUCH faster than my channel providing actual JavaScript tutorials did.
Gonna start a YouTube channel where I pratice piano every day for 365 days except the gag is I just learn chopsticks on day one and then play it every day for the rest of the year.

I'm old.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

As a Celtics fan, I haaaate the Miami Heat ... and I still have Spoelstra as the best active coach and one of the ten or so best of all time. Dude has readapted his system to best fit his roster like fifteen different times since getting the job. #NBA
With last night's win against the Milwaukee Bucks, Erik Spoelstra became the 17th head coach in NBA history to reach 800 career wins.

He’s just the third head coach to attain that milestone with a single franchise, joining Gregg Popovich (Spurs) and Jerry Sloan (Jazz).

Hey all, do I have any UK based concept artists following me (or who knows anyone) who would be up for a long term 22 month contract working on Dragonwilds at Jagex? Remote with a very occasional day in office in Cambridge. Development experience and fantasy genre work is a must. Mid level role.

What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

In high school, thirty years ago, my friend @gbx.bsky.social (who is and will always be a better musician than I am) was working on a new track, and I complimented part of it, and he went "Oh, thanks, I modeled that after the way you play guitar"

He probably doesn't remember that, but I do.

Just finished braising a lamb shank for four hours in a tomato, onion, and garlic sauce with fresh thyme and rosemary, bay leaf, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Goddamn! Gonna serve it over sauteed mushrooms w/ bread.

There's Black Friday sale all over France and I find this amusing since they don't have Thanksgiving and surely the average French person has no idea wtf Black Friday even is.

It confuses me that I'm on a "furries" block list for this site when I'm not a furry, do not post or repost furry art, do not generally post *about* furries, and do not follow anyone who does those things.

(no shade at furries, you do you, just not my thing)

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

The Olivia Nuzzi story is one of those things that journalists care more about than regular people.

I don't give a tin shit about some messy sexting affair that RFK jr had with a fellow dimwit. I care about the irreparable damage he's doing to the US medical system and the people he will kill.
