I don’t ever plan to legally change my name. Publicly I’m hyphenated or go by his.
I heard that changing your last name when you get married is a huge hassle. If they pass laws that make it harder to vote after a name change, I wouldn’t change my name after getting married. Especially because as I get older, the idea of changing my name is less appealing to me anyway.

I have a sizeable Muslim population at my school and there are always some non-Muslim kids that voluntarily participate in the Ramadan fast to support their friends. It is so heartwarming.
My students starting singing “We’re all in this together” when they realized Ramadan and Lent are at the same time this year.
