He is 23 now, so this was a while ago. The "no tolerance" policies often leave common sense out to pasture. He was at summer camp at the YMCA and the detective went there to talk to him. He is now 6'5" and I have impressed upon him while growin up that his size makes him seem like a threat sometimes

I would say to make sure he knows you believe him and support him. Then make sure he knows that the world is crazy and sometimes we have to roll with it. I wouldn't buy a new water bottle though.

My ASD son, during open house for 6th grade, made a comment to a friend about getting him and taking him down. It was in reference to a video game that they played together. However, his parents heard and got all worked up. Called the school who called the cops. :-/
