Steep, low-visibility stairs... Basically attempted murder.
Very simple fix for this. Only put the carpet on the part where your foot is SUPPOSED to go, and leave the rest as wood. Even if they're steep, you can still distinguish them.

Are they smart though? I feel like a smart person wouldn't be so eager to destroy the only planet we can inhabit for the promise of profit someday.

Here's how my partner and I approach things.
We are happy with and without each other. Nobody comes 1st or 2nd, it's whoever is easiest to satisfy at the moment. We both work towards eachother's and our own happiness at the same time.
We do have disagreements, but that's why we make our own joy.

It is kind of funny that we have all these systems approaching it (medicare/aid, obamacare, company healthcare, the fact that you can use medical bills to reduce the tax you pay, maybe other stuff), but we just can't seem to actually get there.

I would add that despite the good being few and far between, they feel like incredible triumphs because of how improbable their happening was.
