Yeah, sounds about right

Internet slop
Ai slop
Political slop
Ad slop
Financial slop

Just slop everywhere. Hope 2026's word is immaculate or something.
Merriam-Webster’s human editors have chosen ‘slop’ as the 2025 Word of the Year.

You know that cold or heat that sinks so deep into your body that you just keep feeling it no matter what you do for a while?

I have the cold version and it really does feel like I'll never be warm again and I'm slowly dying faster than usual.

The drama.🥶

What if everyone had a similar amount of power in America? Would we be subject to less inequality? Would we be able to create a society that works for the good of all citizens not just a few? Can it be better?

This. We are conditioned to respond to an apology with something that "removes the burden" from the transgressor. Why?

Moving past it is fine if it's small enough, but an apology needs action.

You have to fix the mistake or make sure it doesn't happen again. Then things are okay; we're back at 0.
Stop saying "it's okay" after someone has apologized to you. It wasn't ok, but you can accept the apology, thank them for their apology, etc. But no, it's not okay

Okay but, did you SEE the Chainsaw Man movie?

How are those animators not millionaires? PAY THOSE PEOPLE!!!

It's not like the banks and landlords will pull punches and let people stay. The organization needed would be too great.

I think renter's unions could be very effective considering how many complexes are debt heavy.

For a mortgage, you'd have to not get it in the first place. Like a house boycott?
What would happen if EVERYONE collectively stopped paying their rent or mortgages????

This morning...

*knock on door*

"Hi, it's Regret! Great to see you again! I know you called 3 days ago, but I came as fast as I could! Mind if I come in?"

Me: Can you not?

"I'll just make myself at home. Wow, I love what you've done with the place! It's a real mess! I might extend my stay!"

I learned something very important.

A while ago, I posted that I think we should follow ideas instead of people because I felt like politics was too much personality and not enough helping people.

But ideas can be deceptive.

It's insane to throw away 29 years of business, market share, and customer goodwill for a speculative bubble.

Really dumb decision. Couldn't be me.

Do you think that the reason there are so many holidays in winter is because people would be very miserable in the cold and need something to cheer them up or look forward to?

Or maybe people really liked the winter and wanted to celebrate it? I can't imagine that's the case, but it's possible.

So many things had to turn out right and be put together just so for us to exist as we are. We are all improbable, some might say impossible, yet here we are. Let the light of your existence be a reminder that all things are possible. Shine on, superstars.

I found a really cool wrestling channel called SGW Softground Wrestling Uganda on YouTube.
I don't like that it's on the literal ground/dirt (probably not much harder than an actual ring), but it was a pretty good watch!

Most of the comments were cool, but some were awful, and that made me sad.

...this is like giving someone a dirty penny you found next to them before you drive off in your Lamborghini.

But you also stole the Lambo from the person you gave the penny to.

Imagine, if CEOs paid their workers right and their taxes. Literally everyone (especially them) would be better off.

I think it's silly to police what people eat. Like, someone should eat something they don't like because YOU want them to? What kind of joyless life would one be condemned to if they couldn't enjoy the simple pleasure of a tasty meal because a person who isn't eating it with their tastebuds said so?

It's almost been a year and I feel far older than that.

I knew it was going to be bad, but I didn't think people would be so willing to trade their humanity to a beast satiated only by their soul...
For concepts of power.

I didn't really know what to do with that. How could I?

I think I know now.

I was saying to my friend last night that all it takes is for someone to make the first step.

There were other countries before, but this is the first "big" one.
The first step is always the hardest, but always the most crucial. The next steps will hopefully soon follow.

I think confidence is more being comfortable with your knowledge and abilities. If you don't know something, you don't feel slighted by someone who does or by you asking.
Curiosity instead of arrogance. A willingness to laugh at yourself. Understanding. Traits that are constructive and endearing.
as one who is not always confident in myself & my abilities, lemme go on record saying that if you're like me, it ain't a deal breaker

but if, instead of transparency, you try to hide your doubt in arrogance, cockiness, and/or trying to belittle me?? issa no. absolutely TF not.

Forgiveness is complicated. It's a virtue in many cultures, but its application is varied. Who is worthy? What can and can't be forgiven? Can the transgressed seek justice?

I think that forgiveness must be asked for. One can make peace for themselves, but true forgiveness is person to person.

Okay, so... I started reading Don Quixote for the very first time a few days ago. I'm enjoying it!
There are a few pieces inspired by it, this is one of them:

It's actually kind of cool to be able to read the inspiration and hear the composer's interpretation!
