Imagine Putin's mirthful chuckle today.

“We firmly call on the U.S. leadership to reconsider this position,” the Russian foreign ministry said this morning, “and release the lawfully elected president of a sovereign country and his wife.”

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

"While Mr. Trump said little about how the United States would be “running” Venezuela, he insisted it “won’t cost us anything” because American oil companies would rebuild the energy infrastructure in Venezuela, which holds vast reserves of oil."

Glad to see the back of Farage if this comes to pass.

"The fact is that British politics has long handled the occasional star performer, an Enoch Powell, Roy Jenkins, Nye Bevan, Lloyd George or Winston Churchill. But it rarely votes “presidentially” to put them into office."

Getting a rescue puppy has me inclined to dust off my GSD blog. I was bored posting Oracle tech related crap there anyway, although my journey through OCI might change that...

Last week was tough having Pepper put to sleep way too soon. I connected with a local rescue that had this 6 month old GSD (mix) and yesterday on what would have been Pepper's 5th birthday, we adopted this one. Her name is Clementine, but a previous foster called her Pepper. So Pepper (2) it is!
