Still actually mad at StarLord for goofing things when they were this 🤏🏽 close to getting the glove. Weird he never gets any kind of redemption for messing up the mission so badly.

Infinity War. Very interesting that the Avengers break up in Civil War, then the next major crossover is them having to fight Thanos while everyone's social links are broken. Most interactions are with heroes that never met each other. So many actual risks writing-wise, yet it works

Actually insane how well Spider-man and Black Panther's introductions work in the movie. Both are integrated into the story in as natural a way as possible that don't slow down the plot while still making them look cool and useful out the gate

There's only 2 years between Winter Soldier and Civil War, but the sheer density of Marvel stuff at this point... you can't blame me for forgetting what happened between movies.

Captain America: Civil War. This movie works so much better when you watch Winter Soldier beforehand, since all of Cap's hate for The Accords is a direct reaction to SHIELD being a secret Nazi hive, and he doesn't bring any of that up in Civil War.

Captain America: Winter Soldier. First half is an intriguing political thriller. And then it begins to lean into MCU CG excess, which is weird since I remember SO many people say it wasn't like other MCU movies when it premiered.
