I shall try not to spend it all at once.

Only £199.99 to clomp around looking like a total brickhead.

The return of bees (especially the Yorkshire Black Bee that’s being reintroduced to the area), blossom and wild garlic.

I’m alive and intact. I’m not sure how! Conditions on the moors were worse than expected, and I expect atrocious in January!

That hike was a cross between Deliverance and the final scene from Russian film, Come and See.

Went for a hike and found the trail went through a paddock containing these two sheep.

They came right over to me which was unusual. Stranger still, the one looking at the camera tried eating my jacket. 🤣

The Maine Coon is the largest standard cat breed. Get your money’s worth!

Spotted on the community notice board at the Co-Op. I can’t work out if it’s for an individual or an act in need of design help for their publicity:

George has stared and stared and stared at my food, but it still hasn’t turned into meat.

The tractor parade did not disappoint, although the definition of a tractor was wider than expected.

Big night ahead!

Spotted this unusual looking duck by the canal as I walked into Heb the other day. Turns out it's a Muscovy duck, indigenous to Mexico and Central America.

Happy to see it seems to have been accepted by the other ducks and now swims around with them. Apparently it doesn't quack but hisses.

A collection of festive obscurities free from Slade, Wizzard, Wings or anyone else you've heard a billion times. (Although I made an exception for a breakbeat Bing.)

Feel rinsed, so I'm going to start heading for bed. Hopefully, I can get there without the usual two hours of faff!

One last shot for #SundayPixOffTheBeatenTrack This was my daily walk to and from Hebden rail station, and leads to Nutclough Wood.

'night, peeps. And don't bite the bed bugs.

These shots are why I keep deviating from my planned routes, despite the time, despite the aches, despite the nettles, bramble, flies and swamps.

Just one fleeting moment is all it takes.

I really enjoy going well off the beaten track when hiking. #SundayPixOffTheBeatenTrack

That said, these shots are all shown as clearly marked paths on the OSMaps app! Alt-text for details.

I could happily spend all day posting to #SundayPixOffTheBeatenTrack but coursework and housework beckon, as does a workout.

Work, work, work. No wonder I love escaping to quieter trails, like the path I found from my flat up to Wadsworth moor. A brutal climb, but what a view.
