Arteta was very fortunate to get grace that Emery was not afforded... I think he would've delivered more to Arsenal in time than Arteta, but circumstances conspire.
He has control at Villa that almost no other team would grant and is foundational to his success. I hope he stays a long time.

It's grim. Across Europe (certainly here in the UK), seems to be a move towards the mainstream acceptance racism/language and actions that were beyond the pale is seen as legitimate. My wife is Kenyan and we're thinking seriously about moving back there in the medium term.

Easy to have an AI render ennit. Given Wagner's wider business being one of the least successful Hedge Funds in operation, not sure that investors will be queuing to invest in this. Flats/offices another matter...

My dream job David! Absolutely believe Birmingham/West Mids lacks the leadership and sense of optimism as a City. It's got so much going for it, criminal that Manchester has been allowed to position itself as the second City from a business and cultural perspective. Thankfully, WMCA isn't bankrupt.

Despite having a ticket, I wasn't planning on going as I feel as I would if it were a Russian team. Now I'm very happy as I'm not going, as it's going to be a horrible atmosphere, with Yaxley-Lennon et al pretending to be anti racists, while others protest them and Israeli govt.

Hmmm... There are many factors at play, tbh with the ICC arrest warrants against the government, I feel Uefa should've saved WMP from a decision. However, the government response more so than the initial decision has turned this game into a mini culture war.

I know that. Same difference, I don't generally like the authoritarian streak that every Labour government that I've ever seen has. Would rather political funds were used for broad campaigning. Direct to people, and aimed at all politicians.

Hmmm some of those seem fine as amendments, and not clear which amendment is whose. For instance, I don't want my union funds to fund Keir Starmer...
