Absolutely insane. I have been strongly resisting car ownership in my own household, this makes my argument more challenging!
Zipcar is shutting down its UK operations, basically the only car club that worked in London. Massive kick to anyone who tries to live in capital without owning a car. Having been a customer for 17 years and used Zipvans to move house repeatedly, this is.... very bad! (Zipcar is owned by Avis)

Zipcar closing in the UK. Wtf! The service is so valuable to me, as someone who is strongly resisting car ownership in London. It's a proper social good!

Scrolling through today, I saw #Trump has only been in office this time for ten months. I feel exhausted by it, and I'm in the UK, the coverage and madness is way too much to take even from here. Can't imagine what it's like to live it.

Anyone aware of when #Uefa is due to make a decision on suspending Israel? I read this week, not seen any specific date in articles I've read to date

@johntownley.bsky.social the case you haven't mentioned is what if someone is in recovery from a gambling addiction, breaking free of a smart phone can be a vital part of breaking that compulsion? Club/Premier League wanna compensate people if there is a relapse?

Sad to lose JJ, but I do find it sad that players are generally happy to turn out and play for the PIF, when the people behind them are complicit in human rights abuses and the murder of journalists. When they can make a flipping fantastic living without doing so... #avfc

Don't know about number 1 priority. I think it is important to maintain liberal western civilisation and find Reform, Trump and the like a complete anathema to that...
I would love to see the Venn Diagram overlap on the total number of voters in the entire United Kingdom who:
(i) Think 'defending Western Civilisation' is the #1 priority
(ii) Are not voting Reform

It must contain dozens, a handful of whom may even not be in the employ of the Conservative Party

The value pillars 🫠

Seems so wrong that Man City can earn more than Villa for what the two clubs produced over those 8 games. #UCL
Liverpool €100m (£84m) boosted by finishing top of the league, while Arsenal €91m (£77m) came third. Manchester City helped by having highest value pillar, earning €77m (£65m). Aston Villa received less with €71m (£60m), due to much lower value pillar #LFC #AFC #MCFC #AVFC

On a day like this for the UK to be out of the EU is tragic. Europe must be strong now.
