Do we need better controls? yes. But we don't need the prejudice and exaggeration that Reform and other ultra right wing parties offer. We need reasoned debate and decision making. That’s quite hard to do with the constant racist drumbeat of the Right.

Brexit showed us how much we depend on workers for certain sectors, like agriculture (that has Farage’s fingerprints on it too) - and of course the NHS depends on people from other countries (let’s not keep using this label - immigrants) - they make a vital contribution to the nation’s health.

The government have a new way of making Nuclear attractive enough to get built - we pay them for a decade or more before they even produce any electricity. Nuclear is such a bargain..:)

In more relatable numbers that was 56% of all electricity on Britain’s grid. Nuclear did 8%. Just saying. In maybe 15 years time we’ll have Sizewell C chipping in - and by the way, we all started paying for that through our energy bills this month.
