The Algorithm has been the worst thing ever made for social media and it is your civic duty to avoid using it as much as possible. curate your damn feeds and find the people you want to follow, like 90% of the people i follow have been found via mutuals putting things on my dash.

The messed up thing is misstep with Forked Tower aside, this probably has been the singular best year of XIV updates in a long time, and most of the people loudly complaining are transparently transphobic.
FF14 being nominated for best ongoing in a year when I have seen its players do very little but constantly complain about a quality dip, with devs even copping to it, while Street Fighter 6 on a total tear not even getting a nod is making my head spin
