Jesus and Buddha were both 33 before saving all mankind.

I was well over 30 when I wrote and published my first novel, and fully agree with you!

When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.

🪐 Science fiction has been gaming out fascist futures since its inception. Can it help us get out of our fascistic present?
🪐 I talk it out with @damiengwalter.com who runs THE best SF community on the internet

I think you should start preparing emotionally for President Hegseth

It's the most likely outcome from where we are

It's stunning to me that we still need to debunk Round Earthers in this day and age

I love it when they ask dumb questions like "well if the world is flat how does the water stay on?"

It doesn't you loons, the edge-falls keep the elephants cool!

Don't these fools get taught Einsteinian Shell-time? Or Quantum Turtle uncertainty? Or the double flipper experiment?

It's TATWD!!!

🤡🤦‍♂️😆

Can you imagine how massive the Sun would have to be if WE were going around IT? 😆😆🤦‍♂️🤡

One even asked me to explain, if the elephants are standing on a turtle, what does the turtle stand on?

🔊 The one in which, as it is for @nndroid.bsky.social, @damiengwalter.com is “talking my language” 🚀🤓 and suggests, “our dystopias are always about our fear of some other political system that might become all powerful in our place.”

“There’s even the slogan ‘Make Britain Great Again’. I see that now and it kind of looked out-of-date 15 years ago and now it looks bang up-to-date. Is the comic ‘V For Vendetta’ maybe perhaps a bit more timely now than it has been in the intervening years?”

Timothee Chalamet's hair has its own character arc in Dune.

This is the second attempt at this video. I failed to scratch the itch I was getting at in the first version, so am entirely remaking it.

Mid-week. Maybe.
damiengwalter.com
In fact I don't have entire control over this. Each video on the channel is a chapter in what will be a final book, some years from

And a major theme in the book is how scifi imitates and simulates religious mythologies
damiengwalter.com
So after the algorithmic disaster of "theological" scifi we're doubling down in the next video with

RELIGION

I strongly suspect this will not be the video to pull the Science Fiction channel out of its doom loop death spiral 😆

Those would be pretty significant. But I think they are ways of talking about the Vampiric part of the left. But it's true this may just be a self defeating discussion.

Most people recognise the Vampire Castle and detest it, like the poor peasants of the village, we're the ones it wants blood from

The only people who don't see the Vampire Castle are the people in the Vampire Castle

Or the poor fools trying to get in
damiengwalter.com
The Vampire Castle is basically a grift. It's a strategy for taking social causes and converting them into social capital

So of course the Vampire Castle is always present in online left discussions
damiengwalter.com
So the reason Mark Fisher gave it the name, is because the Vampire Castle sucks the life out of "the left"

@michaelburns.bsky.social hosted an interview about the Vampire Castle, and the Vamps of course showed up in the comments

But it wasn't the Vampires who got deleted 🤦‍♂️
