We installed heat pumps in my home here in #Sonoma, California and they’ve been great. No more gas usage except water heaters and clothes dryer. Hoping to replace that dryer too. #HeatPumps
Well-installed heat pumps installed in the UK today achieve on average a 64% higher efficiency than those during the early trials 15 years ago.

It is testament to the brilliant installers and to the technology getting better. More in our recent paper:

WTI at ~$57 isn’t cyclical noise—it’s structural decay. Since the 2022 spike, oil failed to reclaim trend, printing lower highs as demand erodes. This isn’t one shock but substitution at scale: EVs, efficiency, electrified transport, heat pumps, rail, and China’s oil intensity falling. Now. #EVs

We're likely to find out tomorrow if the UK car industry hit its targets for EV sales in 2025, under the "ZEV mandate"…but will media report it accurately?

The headline target for 2025 was 28%, but in reality it's more like 20.4%, according to ECIU analysis

if I had to guess, what happened is that the bookstore didn't actually have it in immediate stock […]

If you flew on an airplane, took a cruise, didn't switch to a heat pump, EV, or add solar and batteries in 2024 and you could have afforded to, you helped ensure that the USA would invade Venezuela for their oil, just saying.
Q: You said the US is going to run Venezuela. So who's in power right now?

TRUMP: Well, we're gonna be running it with a group. We're gonna make sure it's run properly. We're gonna rebuild the oil infrastructure which will cost billions of dollars.

It is 2026 and [CO2] is still increasing causing global warming and sea levels to rise. 2026 needs to be the year a whole more of us choose to try to reverse that terrible trend.

We increased [CO2] by 25% in our first 10,000 years of civilization, but now just since 1990 we've increased it by 7%.
