All this post-Oscars love for The Substance? The last fifteen minutes of the film should have disqualified it from Oscars nominations - it was terrible. I can't believe the studio didn't make the filmmakers cut it. I had it dead last on my list of films, beneath #9 Dune 2 and #8 Nickel Boys. Yuk.

Dune 1 & Dune 2- For Sunday, I need to watch Dune 2, something I've very little interest in doing, but I'll do it to finish all the nominees. Do I need to watch Dune 1 first?

My wife and I want to go to the movies this weekend. My initial thought is to head to The Brutalist, but it's 3.5 hours long and I'm worried it's about as exciting as Roma. Am I far off the mark?

Finished my 8th Houston Marathon on Sunday. Big thanks to my wife, my brother and his family, and to my parents. It was a great morning in H-Town!
