Danish Author. I write in the fantastic: Fantasy, Science fiction.

If I'm not writing, I play video games or reading a good book.

No AI, politics or bots! 🚫
Sometimes, all we need is a nice break, even if you have tight deadlines on certain things book-related.

As for me, I am starting to feel exhaustion, too, from working on The Flame of Hope in the intense month of writing for 30 days. I am on day 11, 11k words written. Might give a day off tomorrow.

It takes time, yes, and effort to create an immersive fictional world.

In short: *never* let AI control you or your writing.

Just let that machine go and see where your writing is heading in a direction. You'd be surprised by coming up with unique names and stories by your own brain work.

Good point. A first draft shouldn't by any means be the final version of the book.

I try my best not to compare my dragon book with a published fantasy book with the same species. I will try to keep it as it is until I am ready to tackle edits and revisions.

Can't deny that. It's also one of my favorites. Love the humor, action, and characters within the series of OPM.

Hope you enjoy watching OPM-season 3, David. I'm waiting 'til the season has fully aired to watch it.

Gotta have priority on other anime, while writing my books and reading in others until then.

I agree with what you said. I took a simple idea (a dragon fantasy adventure) that ended up as a 83k word draft. It won't be published, as it was merely practice to finish a book.

Now that I have completed 1 book, I have some projects, like a Dragon Rider academic story that I want to finish, too.

And that's where I am, if I hadn't persisted throughout the 10 years of storytelling 'til today.

It was also the reason to how I was able to complete a book draft this year (Skylon). Though it needs lots of revision, I am writing a new version of the same story, with notable differences.

Good work, David.

I am still plotting somewhat intensely on Wings of Night, my epic fantasy series about dragons. Currently at the "Plot" section of my outline, which I've been looking forward to, with improving the plot ideas for the story.

I'm definitely trying to put in some foreshadowing in my Wings of Night novels—especially to Arc 1, "The First Hero", which is going to be a trilogy instead of the planned five book set that's in later arcs.
