Opened my fortune cooking from the keynote session this morning. “You will soon witness a special ceremony.” That will be the #ARA2025 Plenary then. Another great conference coming to an end.

The inspiration from day one of #ARA2025 is this slide and the idea that an empty shelf in an archive is a silent history. We were urged to be change-makers, to go out and find the missing records to give those silent histories a voice.

This is Charlie. He’s a cat of habit and he knows that feeding (by the 9yo) is at 6pm. Today at seven minutes past six I saw him standing looking at his empty food bowl, and I tell you I have never seen a cat look so disappointed!

There are a lot of upsetting things in the world, but very few of those things come near the devastating pain and grief of your child dying.
