It’s amazing how much more wide open the game became after the Avs went up 2-1 and the Islanders were actually forced to play some offense

Watched two very good new movies today. The Spike Lee/Denzel joint “Highest 2 Lowest” has a great cast and a classic Spike Lee feel. The new Kathryn Bigelow movie, “House of Dynamite,” intense thriller with a great cast, too.

Maybe it’s just me being annoyed by Nelson’s slow start, but even with a goal tonight he just doesn’t look good out there. The way he plays it looks like he’s skating on bad ice all the time. His fancies are a total mixed bag and I’m just not sure what to think

We’re seeing firsthand why the Senate never ends the filibuster. It’s a “get out of jail free” card for the ruling party & allows them an excuse not to govern. Without the filibuster the party in ctrl would be required to fulfill campaign promises & actually pass legislation- their worst nightmare
