Forgot that Apple drops new episodes around 8 or 9 PM CST, so I was able to catch PLURIBUS before falling asleep, which was a little after midnight. But I can already feel that I'm going to pay for it. It's unlikely I'll get to my hotel until 10 or 11 PM tonight. Lots of Celsius in my future today!

Enjoyed THE RUNNING MAN last night, but I really didn't like that ending. That seems to be a semi-universal complaint. I'm not sure what they were thinking.

Just reminded that PLURIBUS drops in the early morning (midnight PST or EST???) which means it's likely I won't be able to see it until Sat night when I get back home.

Or miss out on sleep. Even though the epi is only 43 min, I'm sure I'll stay up reading reactions and theories.

Not unique. Drives me nuts.
People in Utah (I don't know if this is unique) seem to believe the freeway onramp is for driving exactly 40 mph, and not — as I have always understood — a runway of sorts for getting up to speed so you can successfully merge when you reach the cars that are going 70 mph.

This weekend's road trip is back to College Station tomorrow after work. I'm going to the TAMU-UCF Men's BB game Friday night, staying in a hotel 40 miles away (cause it's cheap!), then, going back to CS for the South Carolina-TAMU football game.

When RUNNING MAN tickets went on sale, I was in Houston and had set my Drafthouse App to Houston that weekend. I wasn't paying attention. So I bought tickets for tonight's show in Houston!! Oops!

Was able to pivot to an Austin location but not the theater closest to me for a 7 PM time slot.

Funny to think that there's a scenario where 4 Texas teams will be in the CFP: Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and North Texas.

That would be pretty darn crazy.

Even funnier if they all get in and none make it to the Championship.

Quite the drop here in stock price, but "streaming remained the bright spot..." Didn't the Kimmel suspension occur in Q3, technically, the last couple of weeks in September? So, there was no actual drop in subscribers? There's no mention of Kimmel in this article.

So what do you think? My love for UNT started w/ the music program nearly 40 years ago. I can drive in on Sunday night, work from...somewhere on Monday. Go to this at 5:30 and the One O'Clock Lab Band's Fall Concert at 8 PM. Stay in Waco Mon night and drive to work Tues morning. Nuts, but doable.*

When I'm on-site, I go to my car to eat lunch and take a quick nap during my break. Today, there was a brand new*, gorgeous Aggie Maroon Ford F-150 Lightning next to me. Why someone would buy a Cybertruck over a Lightning is beyond me. So beautiful.

North Texas MBB falling apart in the last minutes of this game against Oregon State. Agh!

Drafthouse is playing each of the KNIVES OUT movies in the lead-up to the new film. Tonight I see the first one, of course, KNIVES OUT. Next week is GLASS ONION, ending with a Livestream Q&A of WAKE UP DEAD MAN. Very much looking forward to seeing these in a theater (again w/ the first two).

Can we at least get an intermission?
The runtime for ‘AVATAR: FIRE & ASH’ has been listed at 3 hours & 15 minutes.

The longest film in the trilogy.

I have YouTube Premium, so I'm paying to avoid ads. Folks insist on putting them in, though.

I don't know if it's a feature preview, but the last couple of days, YouTube has been letting me hit a button to "skip ahead" during the ads! I love this so much. Note: this is different from usual skip.

Such a good movie. I can't believe I had never seen it until 2023! Also, if this were a Baby Day Show, it certainly didn't play like one. It was loud and dark in that theater! No babies, either.
About to head out to see TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. in a theater. This will be the 2nd time I've seen it in a theater (& 2nd overall, really). Last time was 2 yrs ago. This is a Baby Day Show, meaning it's not too dark, not too loud, & please forgive the crying babies. I don't mind, though.

Pretty much why I’m seeing it Thursday night with a nearly sold out Drafthouse audience.

Not surprised to see cities north of Dallas on this list. That whole area is incredibly lovely and booming. But those median home prices are nuts. Even Denton's median home price was approaching $400k, the cheapest of the ones listed: McKinney, Frisco, and Richardson.*

My goodness, these tamales are so good. Well worth a visit to pick up a few dozen while in San Antonio (or the RGV, of course).
