I hate to think what our power bills are going to be; we have to have air con on day and night, which is itself a vicious cycle as to heat waves. The future is not pretty.

41 where I am, too, and not dropping below 38 degrees for 8 days, but how do you get through a forecast like Mildura's? Swan Hill is probably similar.

I remember walking down a street in Elwood that week of heatwave before Black Saturday, and a little ringtail possum fell out of a tree at my feet.

That's the first time I've had to read ICE agents described as 'brave'. So brave, they don't even show their faces.
