I've recently installed a hybrid synth called Surge XT, which if you're not using it, you definitely should. It looks very complicated for me right now, but some of the presets they have sound very good. I'm definitely saving a few to use in my tracks.

One of my favourite ways to sidechain, and this is #SoundDesign talk here, is to use a rhythmic sound ducking plugin (like Gross Beat, if you're using FL Studio).
1. You go over to volume envelope.
2. Set it to whatever you like, and put it where the kick hits.
3. Don't forget to mix it in!

Honestly, now looking at how to come up with posts on social media, a lot of tips that they cite as "the best way to go viral" just don't sit right with me. I didn't want to go viral in the first place, I just wanted to get a few ideas of what to post about. Plus, all of it is just pure luck anyway.

I just don't get the people who advocate for "making music with AI".
You're not "making music", pal. You're telling a machine to make you an imitation of what it thinks us humans are doing. At no point here did a human come up with a composition, song structure, and sound design.

So, I found out that #Bandcamp is transitioning away from PayPal to something called "Stripe"? Never heard of this service, which goes to show what the problem is.
PayPal is available to almost every country on Earth, that we can agree on, but Stripe is far from it.

Bandcamp payouts now require Stripe, and that’s a big problem.

This is truly sad news. Tom Lehrer was a big musical and comedic influence on me, being introduced to his work as a young teenager.
And to think, by his age Mozart had already been dead for 62 years!
