I remember taking an infrastructure tour up there almost 10 years ago and they were already had started piloting bus only lanes, in addition to being so far ahead on bike stuff

I could be wrong but I think a Director can be sidelined to a position of no authority quite easily, even with civil service.

I've been known to carry around a pair of clippers on my walks for these circumstances. Shouldn't have to, but seems to be the industry standard to leave em hanging

Our mail person walks. It's awesome. He lives in the neighborhood and knows all the regulars. Most of the mailboxes are not accessible directly by street anyway.

It's clear when he's out because the fill-ins always drive mailbox to mailbox. Even saw one drive onto the sidewalk to get to the boxes

Appreciated CM Horton's comments asking if they could maybe please consider Vision Zero and our modal hierarchy, but y'all…why do we have to keep reminding Metro of their own policies? Why do all the designs they choose to show directly contradict these?

Totally. They need to be combined with bulb outs, median refuges, and other traffic calming to max benefit. But in the end they're just watered-down traffic signals invented to keep cars moving a little faster than traditional signals.
