Hoaxes using doctored photos are as old as the medium themselves but AI and algorithmic social media have made production and distribution of this stuff incredibly efficient

Also the actual details are less important than the overall contours of the scandal which the general public is picking up.

Having your name repeatedly mentioned in the same sentence as Jeffery Epstein is in itself damaging!
