With first past the post seat count is pretty unrepresentative. You could go on historic actual vote shares, but these can be wildly out of touch with now within months. What I would like is objective criteria, probably combining various factors. It would then be transparent what the bar was.

It seems likely that the way in which recovery is or is not facilitated, and how the experience is understood and remembered could be important. Do you think there are lessons for this?

And big data is where the money has been for some time. Forget LLMs - data analytics that has been around for a decade could assess this and generate algorithms that impact insurance costs. And maybe you trust OpenAI (I don't) - but when they go bankrupt, someone else will buy up the data.

Even farmers are careful around cows, especially as a herd. They are really big and heavy relative to a human! It's just common sense to minimise your chances of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, even if the chances of an accident in any given encounter are super-low.

No, you're sensible. A runner was injured by cows there a few years ago. I dislike walking through fields of cows and give them a wide berth. I once thought this was overcautious, but a friend who grew up in a farming village does the same. If cows are spooked (and it may not be you), they're big.

They don't need to from a business point of view; the products sell themselves. They can get more favourable conditions, but it's marginal gains. Highly polluting industries 'must' push against regulation to stay in business; the payback from preventing or slowing change is potentially existential.

A bot doesn't care if you block them so I fear the time spent is not actually helping clean-up the wider ecosystem sadly. I do tend to assume all social media sites stating active users are over-estimating by *at least* 30%. I'd like them to do more but suspect it is an under-resoucred arms race.
