I already posted too much about my former employer last week but, if you're looking to make a Give to the Max Day donation, HOME Line is a great choice. Your dollar goes incredibly far. The organization is pretty lean and helps over 20,000 tenant households per year.

the final *concept* layout was approved 13-0, although Council Members raised a lot of concerns about the lanes on the bridges over 35W as well as the lack of bike infrastructure. now goes back to public engagement before the design is set in stone. but the design layouts often carry a lot of weight

for what it's worth, CM Jenkins echoes our concerns, and said she wants to see improvements in the final outcome

for my neighborhood sickos: today the full City Council will vote on the final layout of the 35th and 36th Street reconstruction coming in 2027/28. quite disappointing that there is only one block of bike lines east of 35W

I ran a draft "No A.I." clause for a representation agreement by some friends to see what they thought and, to a person, they were like "Oh shit, that's actually a good idea, but make you put in there that your clients can't use A.I. to second-guess you." Great times we're living in.

our first year in Minnesota, 2019, we couldn't go back east to see our families for Thanksgiving. we barely knew anyone, so we hosted an Orphan's Thanksgiving for my law school classmates who were also stuck with nowhere to go. best decision we ever made.

As a burgeoning indie kid, these would've been my answers in 2007 to 2009. One time in 2010 I went on my buddy's pirate radio show and we just played most of the Maxïmo Park album and went "damn that's good" every three songs

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

I have many options, but these are probably the Most Perfect ones.

(people will tell you Illinois, and I love it, but it needs editing)

You're linking a Substack which is just rehashing Waymo's own data and their own methodology for estimating the benchmark number of estimated crashes by humans. The snake oil salesman sure does have some nice literature for you.

jk lol this dumbfuck gets paid almost $400,000 a year to make fun of tenant's rights lawyers and carry water for landlords

It is quite funny to me that a founder of California YIMBY thinks it's disqualifying and mockable to be a tenant's rights attorney. Think about who you see yourself in coalition with. If you consider yourself a "YIMBY" but you oppose tenant's rights, you're just an unpaid lobbyist for landlords.

What's very funny is that, since being convicted of a traffic offense that resulted in a crash that killed someone, that Cory guy has had three more speeding convictions and a cellphone conviction!

Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.
