You have to hand it to those tens of millions of Americans who voted for Trump. I mean, if you wanted to destroy the American economy, its standing/reputation in the world, foment terrorism, alienate allies, empower oligarchs, and further compromise the biosphere, they did an admirable job.

It is Indigenous History Month and this is the story of Rita Joe!

Rita was born on March 15, 1932 in Whycocomagh, NS.
When she was five, her mother died and she spent several years in foster care.

She eventually moved in with her father and siblings.
