These glasses. It’s wild how the body heals itself layer by layer. After a retinal rupture, I’m now preparing for cataract surgery. Vision is slowly finding its way back. The retina is so fragile: where sight begins, maybe even the soul. The body’s quiet repair feels nothing short of miraculous.

The editorial completely omits the fact that the Trump has nuked nearly $400 million in LGBTQ related research and has explicitly banned any and all funding for transgender health. But they ignore all that while they call for "better research" that is now banned and defunded.

An important point getting overlooked:
When NIH cancels "diversity" grants (e.g., diversity supplements, Fs, Ks, etc), they aren't canceling the grants based on *what* the grant studies.
They're cancelling them based on *who* is doing the research. And that disallowed "who" is anyone not white.

The notification letters had one of the most egregious violations of fed regulations I've seen so far in these cases:
