Really interesting talking with @ericrueb.bsky.social about the issue of parents getting angry at sporting events.

I’m a jerk. Sorry.

Knock it off.

A whole bunch of families are pretty happy, and the Brown story that my colleague Alexa broke was the top story on the whole website yesterday.

The 67-word AmeriCorps pledge begins like this: “I will get things done for America – to make our people safer, smarter, and healthier.” How can anyone oppose this?

“The whole idea that there actually was a person named Pell has long since been lost,” said Tom Hughes, 82, the late Sen. Pell’s longtime chief of staff. “Which wouldn’t bother Pell at all. He’d be happy to just have the program exist.”

The Pell Grant started in Rhode Island 50 years ago. Will it outlive the US Department of Education? - The Boston Globe

Strangely, I’d say not at all. Just because the data is based on pre-high school testing. But I do wonder if that beautiful building is keeping more kids in public school rather going to one of the privates.

During nearly 40 years on the bench in Providence, Judge Caprio’s famous leniency often provided a lifeline to people when they needed it most, moments when paying to have a boot removed from their car would mean going without groceries or missing rent. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/02/05/m...

Sure. I think you have have every right as an advocate to support or oppose any resolution. I was simply giving an honest answer to why I didn’t cover a resolution in the legislature. I don’t think it’s as important as 10 other things that happened yesterday. That’s all.

There are a few more important things in the headlines right now than a General Assembly resolution.
