I can't imagine what it must be like not to feel desperately, constantly, existentially uncomfortable at the very idea of there being a theme park about myself.

"so I know when their babies will arrive"

Yeah, that's what they all say. 😜

And I would hope that even transphobes can recognise when their prejudices are being used to distract them from issues that actually affect their own lives. Noticing that a minority is being scape-goated by arseholes might be the first step towards accepting their humanity and their right to exist.

Hahaha the comments on this are awesome.

It's a bit worrying that they seem to have no power to cite the operator of the car, just because there isn't a human in the driving seat. There's no pilot sitting in my drone, either, but I'm pretty sure I'd be liable if I crashed it though your living-room window.

Ack.... "shrinking". And it was right next to "suit sex", too. I'm not even sure what that is. Is it just sex where you.... leave your suits on? Now I'll never know!

Your observation was good, I reckon. It's either ghostwritten by a chronically online intern, or it tells us that when you *really* hate people for flimsy personal reasons, you develop a precise vocabulary to describe them, not least because they're so vividly archetyped in your imagination.

I really need to switch off my grading brain (or, if I may, turn off my grade-ar) while reading political stuff.

51 year-old English teacher here!

I read this in between reading first drafts of some 9th-grade English essays and (don't hate me), was impressed by what a strong paragraph it is.

Psychotically specific in its hatred, but nevertheless a well-structured, imagery-rich articulation of... etc.

Who is generating 30 videos in a day?! The mind boggles at the amount of unwatchable crap being spaffed onto the internet even before people are asked to waste money making it.

Not to mention, I'll probably never have to shout at a robo-taxi to "wake up!" as I've had to do a couple of times to drivers who fell asleep, and I'll never catch them scrolling through WeChat videos while driving. And a few minutes later I was almost flattened by two cyclists running a red light.

This is a hypothetical question, since the police would never stop someone just for shitty driving. But I would've thought the least the robots could do is obey the rules of the road and judge distances accurately.

Oh, you beat me to it.

It's kinda similar to the plot of Sleep Dealer, in which Mexican labourers in warehouses near the border with the US (which has been closed off with a fortified border wall) operate robots that work on construction projects.

I left when he took over. I deleted the app but didn't delete my account. I've never been back and never regretted. I can't even be bothered to go back and delete my account.
