Have you tried chia seeds? You've got to soak them for a couple hours but I like them more than psyllium husks.

I found them after I went down the lead psyllium husk rabbit hole. Tried a bunch of different stuff and landed on chia. It also balances stuff both ways. And a good source of Omega 3s.

I always loved the see-through devices. My first was probably the transparent Gameboy, my latest is the transparent Steam Deck.

How much are you looking to borrow? Maybe send me a DM.

At first I thought, what's all this old news doing in my feed? Sigh...

Ah yes, the legendary Roomans, masters of Rooman nomerals and inventors of concrate and gludiators!

It's just because you're writing less though, right? Just say your focus has changed.

One thing skeet has going for it is that it's a sport where you shoot clay birds thrown into the sky. You're basically shooting down Twitter's logo! While the slang meaning is polarizing, the imagery aligns with breaking away and aiming higher. Problem is it defines something by what it's replacing.

Bleet with an e is an alternate spelling for bleat. I guess I like bleat better because it's the more common spelling and still sounds like the word tweet in our head. Bleet has the advantage of a similar spelling to tweet. I think both are better than skeet and don't have any weird sexual meanings.

Bleet/Bleat: A quick call across open skies, where individual voices build a chorus. Fittingly, both mindless sheep and stubborn goats bleet, capturing the mix of conformity and individuality that defines social media. Let your bleets echo far, connecting voices under endless blue skies.

I think one syllable is essential for it to catch on. Tweet works well because it's also a small sound a bird makes and could represent a small message.

I think bleet/bleat is your best suggestion so far. It's a single syllable and a short noise an animal makes. It's a call across an open sky.

We needed you earlier! Skeets may have already hit critical mass.

On Mastodon they call them toots.

I think of AI a lot like space exploration. People always say what a waste it is to explore space when people are starving. Spectroscopy analyzes how matter interacts with light or energy. It’s used in space to study gases and surfaces. Advanced by space exploration, it made MRI practical! 4/4

We should really be charging companies for their carbon emissions, but I am hopeful that AI can decrease emissions in the long run.

AI summaries in your Google workspace are run on low parameter, very fast LLMs that use very little power. Even with upfront cost of training, costs average down. /3

A rule of thumb I use for buying fruits/vegetables is the more expensive it is, the more carbon emissions involved.

There's lots of $$ going into AI right now, so the price is cheap, but at some point, the price will reflect the cost. Cost to run AI will drop & cost to consumers will go up. 2/

I've noticed a lot of AI pushback in my circles. There's a lot of talk about energy usage and water wastage, not to mention the way it consumes data. There's the argument of copyright vs transformative use. A lot of people who are writing/editing responses for AI training data are treated poorly. 1/

I think they just call their posts "threads" on Threads. They call them "toots" on Mastodon.

Since there was no link to the article, I assumed this was some kind of hit and run edit. But no, it's still in there. The link: wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Gra...

Hank Green suggested we just call any character limited post a tweet. After he suggested it, I noticed people were already doing it and my mind was just ignoring it. Seems reasonable to me, it's not like Twitter exists anymore.

If it does replace jobs, we get universal basic income and we all get to do what we like most.

Because we can see how smart it is, we trust it for fact checking news, politicians, etc. And the political climate cools down. Maybe it replaces the Supreme Court, but not humans in the other branches.
