Might be UK-centric this… but reminds me of Peter Baynham telling Richard Herring (as he was returning from his grandfathers funeral) ‘I’m delighted that your Grandad is dead’, which made him cry and laugh at the same time. Great use of the word ‘delighted’.

100% agree that it’s a not a film that a proper writer would have wrote. Story is thin + you don’t care about anyone really. But it works like a big theme park ride, but with the dynamic force being… time.
