It appears that the slide into authoritarianism is accelerating at an unimaginable pace. Today we had the US Military Leadership gathered to hear a racist, misogynist rant by a rank incompetent followed by threats to use the full force of the US Military against US citizens who oppose Trump.

I have been hugely heartened by the turnout at this weekend's "Hands Off" protest rallies.
Having previously posted challenges, asking where the protesters had gone. Now I know that they haven't been silenced, they've been waiting for better weather and worse actions by the Trump regime.

In his attempt to shake down Ukraine in his "wonderful deal" Trump overstates US aid to Ukraine, doubling the value and claiming that the US has the right to be repaid. This is a protection racket.

I hope it's not too late for democracy in the USA to be saved. The "progressive" voters who refused to vote for Kamala need to carefully consider the impact they've had. The Arab, Muslims, Black and Hispanic Americans should now look at the results and ponder the wisdom of their choices.
