The hypocrisy of Mike Johnson is remarkable even in this "post-factual" society. His claims of Christian rectitude melt in the heat of his continual lies. He must truly believe that this purposeful deception and his support of withdrawing support from the ill, the poor and the weak is forgiveable.

Although several commentators have suggested that Trump wields more power, we need to consider the extent to which GOP representatives and senators facing re-election next year we're relying on funding from Musk. Many now face the risk of Musk funding their challengers.

There is no moral quandary. Putin is waging a war of aggression, killing civilians and destroying cities, towns, schools, hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine is fighting for its survival and sovereignty, striking military targets with few exceptions.

Anyone who cares about the founding principles and ethos of the USA is horrified at the rise of the authoritarian Trump/Musk/Vance regime. I believe the 2026 midterms will show far higher turnout from traditional Democratic voters. The focus on economic impact may sway Trump's supporters.

If true, this confirms that the White supremacist movement led by Trump and Musk is appallingly similar to the Nazis.

We have long suspected that Trump is controlled from Moscow. The fiasco in the oval office today was further evidence as was the UN vote. This move by Hegseth to effectively license Russia to continue its disinformation campaign is just the next step.
