I feel it’s embarrassing that I am nearly fifty years old and know exactly what parody song you are referencing here. I’m just not sure if it’s me or you that should be embarrassed

Hence my point about being mindful of what you feed your brain and paying attention to what you pay attention to. Looking at what you consume and paying attention to how consuming it makes you feel, what it inspires in you and what those feelings motivate you to do... or NOT do.

And that's the problem. It's not that there's one thing that provokes a massive cortisol spike, it's the constant, low-level hum of despair that builds over time, like heavy metals accumulating in our bloodstream and our brain, that diminishes our capacity for hope or optimism.
