Finished Percival Everett’s novel James last night. Truly an incredible work of literature and a fast read. It’s a spin off of Huck Finn from the slave Jim’s perspective. I can’t stop thinking about it at my desk this morning at work. Highly recommend! #fiction #americanliterature #PercivalEverett

Seeing the footage of #LAfire is so much harder after moving away. And not only that, but the fact that these fire(s) are significantly worse than any other in recent memory or maybe ever. We are used to the mountains being on fire etc. but never dense communities like this wiped out 💔
