I know that not every user is like me, and many just take the output of these statistical models and use them without any critical thought, but I don't like the maximalist "LLMs have no utility" stance because it's just not true.

I love to understand how things work, and I also use LLMs every day for tasks as diverse as OCRing a document, writing tests for my datasets (which I review manually before using), and getting examples of recommendation letters so that I can understand the typical format before writing my own.

Usually, pods like this are a dead giveaway that a plant is in fabaceae (the legume family). I'm constantly surprised by the amount of variety in plant families, and how so many unrelated plants independently discover the same strategies!
