Daniel Vávra is literally THE biggest douchebag in that whole country and that says a lot. He is illiterate, spineless and victim to every conspiracy theory ever invented. But he made couple of popular games hence the cult of personality. Still, don't multiply anything he spreads, ever.

As long as the oompa loompa is in charge I find it far more likely that US would do that rather than Russia.

Maybe it is so, maybe not, but only crazy leader would bet the lives of millions of his people on maybes and whatifs, right. Not with solid evidence of the actual exact state of russian nuclear capabilities. But then, there might be only crazy people left currently in department of defense.

The talent that Maharaj brought to world of Star Trek was incredible. This is quite a loss. Mainly people that cheered at Skydance takeover should read this. That corporate greed is literally killing the future of Trek.

Again.

I don't worry about their tanks or troops either. I worry about their nukes. I wouldn't advise to bet on them being too obsolete to be used. Remember, US nuclear arsenal might have been intented as a deterrent only, but theirs was always meant to be used. When the enemy defenses are lowered.

Anything except incredibly vast nuclear arsenal. Has it been so long that US forgot that Russia never had any interest in invading and conquering US? Their goal always was a total annihilation of their enemy number one. US right now is at its weakest in history. I wouldn't give Russians excuses.

Does it mean you are okay if it means that Russia will retaliate against US with everything they have?

I mean it sounds good what you say, in theory. But in practice, wouldn't it make that same war just thousand times worse?

But I agree there should be more pushback. Much more.

So Russian spokespeople and their "diplomats" literally threaten to nuke european capitals daily in their national television and that's okay, but if we use the exact same language then it becomes bad...?
December 16, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Problem is we collectively glorify them. All history taught in schools are tales of 'famous' conquerors and dates of famous battles. Putin knows his time is short and he wishes to make history books as Russia's next big conqueror. His enormous ego is the crux of that whole bloody war.

Because most of those people are not responsible for their government. Entire generation has already grown up under this regime and many of those are victims of it as well. It's Putin, his regime and all the enablers that need to be removed. But of course, many common folks are corrupted too.

While most of Europe... lets be honest, we are spoiled, we are too dependent on our creature comforts and we reject the idea of sacrifice for greater good. Most people hate the idea of cutting budgets in order to boost military spending or the idea of conscription armies. That is a disadvantage.

Yes Russia is not in a good shape either. They strained their resources a lot in order to push into Ukraine. But lets point out that Russians are used to suffering. They are quite fine with more poverty, more famine, more pain, if it provides some sort of victory.
December 16, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Good point, yet it needs to be also pointed out that Ukraine is far better trained and equipped than most if not all other european countries and those, at this state of readiness, would not be able to put as much pushback as Ukraine does. So, let's not underestimate the danger here.

Most Trek fans can't be MAGA because most Trek fans aren't even Americans, it's worldwide popular show, after all. But even in US only it seems like a blatantly untrue statement. Granted, Trek is not always consistent when it comes to values and some of it might appeal to conservatives, but rarely.
December 9, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Yeah, I mean the extreme toxicity is clear even from the title. Whenever somebody is hiding behind notions of "real fans" or "true fans" that should be an instant block. Nothing good has ever come from that.

Their goals definitely align. Europe paralyzed by division is easier to be exploited either by megacorporations of the global market or by nearby military superpowers. But yes, it's possible he is directly collaborating with russian propagandists.
