Disney did produce but it was via Amblin and Touchstone, and this is only half animation, so I think I'm in the clear 🐰 🕵🏻‍♂️ 🚋

Second highest grossing film of 1988, spearheaded the modern American Disney animation Renaissance, and won a Special Achievement Academy Award for animation direction

Fitting that our new National Security Strategy is basically cribbed from Camp of the Saints, the super-racist 1970s novel that is all the rage amongst contemporary fascists around the globe, like Steve Bannon.

The new National Security Strategy of the U.S. contains some pretty explicit white nationalism:

“We want to support our allies in preserving the freedom and security of
Europe, while restoring Europe’s civilizational self-confidence and Western identity.”

It's the year 2077. All movie studios belong to Netflix. Cinemas only play trailers for their streaming catalog. Every franchise is canceled after two movies/seasons, on mandatory cliffhangers. Nothing from before 2002 is available. Owning physical media is punishable by death. Netflix is love.

What's brutal is that the 2077 scenario isn't far fetched

Netflix gets WB, we're looking at a possible triple kill - Warner eliminated, Paramount and Universal die out

The future of movies?

Disney content and Netflix mass producing background noise content you half watch while scrolling your phone, as movie theaters go extinct

Look at this filmography! Inarguably elite

And maybe provides some island inspiration via Cast Away

I kept scrolling through responses and am baffled I never saw Tom Hanks

Arguably a top three answer. This is an amazing list of movies you get to watch over and over for the rest of your island time:

I'm slightly partial to Del Toro for best supporting. But obviously they are both great

One amazing thing about the movie is that every single performance is spot on. To the primary cast, to supporting ones like Tony Goldwyn, down to people with 30 seconds, like the "underground" lawyer and nurse
