Happy to share my last paper from my PhD work with the Deeva team! We establish new tools in European amphioxus: fertilized egg microinjection, F0 CRISPR/Cas9 mutagenesis & show Ascl1/2.1 is required for epidermal sensory neurons formation in amphioxus.

Sea urchin metamorphosis is maybe one of the most radical event in developmental biology. In just about an hour, these little pluteus larvae completely reorganize their entire body plan.

Finally, the excellent postdoc work of Emmanuel Haillot is out, where he dissected the integration of Wnt, MAPK and Notch signaling in defining mesoderm and endoderm identities in the diploblast Nematostella. Strikingly similar to sea urchins. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
