I think I can confidently say I am pretty alright at the whole "playing video games" thing.

What's your favorite "Santa Claus origin story" movie?
December 25, 2025 at 1:33 PM
I almost made it through December without hearing it, but no, today I got Wham-agheddoned, thanks to my clock radio alarm. Oh well, let's see if we can't make it through next year...

My favorite sequel trilogy movie is The Last Jedi. And it's also in my overall Top 3.

Come at me.

Day 4 of switching to #Fedora:
For some reason I keep running into trouble that if I run a video game in full screen or borderless windowed, and I want to interact with a different window, it thinks I've selected a different window, so I can't copy-paste text or pictures around. Very odd.

Last Friday I decided that enough is enough. Microsoft have been doing too many stupid things with Windows, so I am officially done, and have switched my home PC to Linux. Specifically to Fedora 43. And so far, I'm pleasantly surprised.

@warframe.com just started a strange livestream on YouTube and I have no idea what's going on. Compels me, though.

Also, random lines are spoken by what sounds like Werner Herzog??? WHAT ARE YOU UP TO, DE??!? REVEAL YOUR SECRETS!!!

We're 25% of the way to Christmas, and so far I've successfully managed to avoid the Wham-agheddon. Go me!

LLMs are a scourge. They consume an unholy amount of energy, they're more wrong than right, they are trained on stolen content, and now they're messing with supply and demand of consumer PC hardware.

The "AI bubble" can't burst soon enough, and I'll be on the front row with champagne when it does.

A nation torn apart by civil war, a mysterious agency fighting alien-looking monsters, and absolutely no hand-holding when it comes to puzzles or story progression. If that sounds like an interesting premise to a video game, you have to check out Hell Is Us. It's one of my favourites of 2025.
Steam Community :: DarthSatoris :: Review for Hell is Us
Hell Is Us is one of my surprise hits of the year. Its selling point, at least on the surface is that it adamantly refuses to hold your hand at any point and expects you to pay attention in order to s...

If you're in the market for a single player game where you fight giant creatures by crawling around on them and smacking them in their weak points, or hurling stuff at them with telekinesis, you really, SERIOUSLY, need to play Eternal Strands. It's a genuinely good time.
Steam Community :: DarthSatoris :: Review for Eternal Strands
How do you describe Eternal Strands without also mentioning some of the great "monster slaying" games like Monster Hunter, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Shadow of the Colossus? Because this game is certainly...

I want to watch #WakeUpDeadMan in theaters, but apparently it is not showing in theaters anywhere in Denmark.

That makes me sad.

If you want to play a game about climbing that also has something to say about hope in the face of adversity, with beautiful music and visuals, I have a recommendation for you: Jusant.
Steam Community :: DarthSatoris :: Review for Jusant
I originally played through Jusant on Xbox Game Pass back when it first released, but I felt like this game was good enough for me to buy it on Steam, and play it through a second time, which would al...

I recently decided to revisit a game I finished a couple of years ago, and man, it still rocks just as hard today as it did then. Metal: Hellsinger is just a fantastic rhythm-based shooter with a killer soundtrack tailor-made for the game. It's criminal that the studio got closed!

Felt nostalgic last night, and rewatched The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie 2, and they still hold up so incredibly well.

I just read an article about air traffic controllers resigning at a rate of 10-20 per day, and I was reminded of @lastweektonight.com 's piece on ATCs from earlier this year and how extremely relevant it has become. If you haven't seen it yet, you REALLY should, even if you're not American.

As a European resident, I shouldn't have to be as invested in American politics as I am, but it does still warm my heart to see that the US *can* make good choices for itself. A major win for the people tonight.

This November the 5th is surely a date that will be long remembered.

Jared Leto is Box Office poison.

He's the main reason I haven't wanted to go see TRON Ares. And from the reviews it also sounds like I didn't miss much.

One of the best things about Sonic games (even the bad ones) is that the soundtrack is always filled with certified bangers.

Like, this race track is in a museum, it has no right to go as hard as it does!! Big Band going 110% all the way.

September has been SO stacked with great new games I honestly cannot find the time to play them all.

Hell Is Us, CRONOS, DRG: Survivors, Sonic Racing Crossworlds, Hades II, Star Birds, Jump Space... it's almost too much!!! Stop releasing so many great games all at once!!!

#EA is now owned by Saudi royals and Jared Kushner?

I was looking forward to #Battlefield6. Guess I'm not anymore. Oh well, there's a ton of other games out there to play, so no big loss.

It will be a stab in the heart when the next #MassEffect or #StarWarsJedi game comes out.
